"The Story of My Life" Project
You are presently working on "The Story of My Life" Project. I mentioned in the Instructions Paper that the project is due November 20th; but since we started working on this project much earlier than expected, please note that the corrected due date is: November 4th. I will include this grade in your First Quarter. Your PowerPoint Handouts or Word Document with your "Story of My Life" text must be handed-in to Mrs. Feld by October 22nd. If you were absent during the time we were working on this project, please talk to me. Those who have permission will have up to October 27th to complete the PowerPoint/Word Document and hand-in this assignment.
Please remember that your Slideshow/Movie must include a Title Slide and a Closing Slide, for a total of 15 slides. Read the instructions carefully. I need to see that you reversed the Ken Burns Effect in some of the pictures. Also, make sure that you add the text from the PowerPoint or Word Document (some text right over some of the pictures and other over black screens) and transitions throughout (being careful with the timings). If you have any questions please ask Mrs. Feld.
Once your iMovie is completed, please convert it into a QuickTime Movie and save it in the Server under your Name in the Digital Applications Folder ("Public Folder").
Before the First Quarter is over, I need to show you a PowerPoint Presentation about Digital Cameras. This presentation includes the following vocabulary:
Digital Cameras - What are Digital Cameras? Parts of a Digital Camera (Lens, CCD or Charge Coupled Device, Viewfinder, LCD Screen, Body)
Conventional Cameras
SLR (Single Lens Reflex) Camera
Resolution
USB (Universal Serial Bus) Port
FireWire
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) Screens
CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) Monitors
Pixels
Pixelated
Megapixels
Multimegapixels
Photorealistic
Sensor Elements
We will have a test on October 29th (Thursday). The test will include the information mentioned in the former blog (below) - iMovie, Lesson 5. Also, learn the vocabulary mentioned in that entry (follow the instructions I give you there - READ THEM CAREFULLY!) You must have iMovie notes with that information. Copy the vocabulary mentioned here too (above). Mrs. Feld will give you a handout of the "Digital Cameras" Presentation - make sure you find the definitions for the vocabulary words, highlight them and study for the test.
October Assignment: Don't forget to take at least 6 pictures (with your Digital Camera or Cell Phone). Theme: "Fall." Get creative! Visit Alverthorpe Park, Pennypack Park, or Lorimer Park, or simply go to your backyard or walk around your neighborhood and take some good pictures with good "composition." You must download them in iPhoto and show Mrs. Feld. If you want to learn about "composition" check: http://photoinf.com, http://photoinf.com/composition or http://photoinf.com/guidelines, or find other good sites online.
